Power Flushing Services, Bexley
WHAT IS A POWER FLUSH
Power flushing is carried out on your central heating system to remove iron oxide deposits (magnetite), dirt and sludge build-up. A power flush machine is attached to the most convenient point on your system – usually the radiator pipework. The machine pumps high pressure water and cleaning chemicals around your system to remove all metal deposits, sludge and debris from your radiators and pipework.
Power Flushing is a very important aspect of maintaining the health of household central heating systems. Flushing has become so important that Building Regulations have now made it compulsory to have a Power Flush on any new boiler installed on an old system.
You can trust our team of Bexley based heating engineers to take care of your Power Flushing work. Our technicians have at least 5 years experience working in the field in and around the Bexley area. The flushing process is very clean and there is no mess from any aspect of the work involved. There are no radiators that need to be removed in order for the job to be completed. The whole power flush procedure from start to finish will last no longer than one day (depending on the number of radiators in your home).
DO I NEED A POWER FLUSH
The common symptoms for needing a Power Flush are that your boiler and radiators take a long time to heat up. You may find cold spots on radiators, usually at the bottom where the build-up of sludge and debris has settled. Sometimes you may find radiators not coming on at all, or in some cases you may experience a complete boiler and system failure.
Having a power flush can bring your radiators back to life, and get them operating to a near new condition as well as vastly improving the performance of your boiler. Having your system flushed is a great way of saving you money on your heating bills and to help reduce costly repairs.
Remember that all new boilers must be power flushed prior to installation. Failure to do so will invalidate your warranty.
